Yeah, it may be just a gas station and liquor store.....( no subs or pizza like U-5 ) But the beer and liquor prices are great. I have been going there for years, and the owners, in which are twins have said no more than three words to me. They are very quiet. They also have a pretty cool black brother work there sometimes, seems like a nice bro, and says "Your Welcome" and phrases of funny things here and there. The way I look at it, they do a high volume business, so why do they need to be friendly?, with words and getting to know you by name even though you stop there 5 to 7 days a week.......I believe they would attract more business if they talked and made conversation with customers. Sometimes that place gets extremely busy!!!! Two issues that need to be addressed about Wetcher Whistle. For one, the place needs an overhaul!!!! I have seen the same dirt particles for two years, and the place needs a nice paint job and shelving that is attractive. They still have their Christmas lights up from last year that have mold on them!!!!! I believe that places sales would increase by 30 to 40%. But the only thing that really hurts them, and I really don't realize and know about at this time, but if you go a half mile down to the bottom of the hill downtown, at 'Super Soda", and you tell Harry or the other owner, "hey, I can get the same pack of cigs, or beer, or liquor cheaper at Wetcher Whistle...whatever etc.., Harry will drop his price of what was labeled, and sell it to you for what it is at Wetcher Whistle!!!!..No BS, my friend!!!! They want your business, and there are only three beer, and liquor store, cigs, combo store in Federalsburg!!!!! That is crazy!!! And whoever opens up a clean, friendly, good food, sports bar in this town will make it big!!! But the service and servers ( hot looking chicks ) better be on top of things!!!! Believe me, it is coming!!!!
Gas pumps are busy a lot. But that is to be expected since there are only 2 in town I believe now. otherwise they are pretty good. never had a problem finding our drinks there.
This place is dirty and I personally believe they are racist jerks. Both twins the same. I went in there to buy Kettle Cooked Salt and Vinegar chips and a pack a Swiss Rolls. I paid with a ten. Everything came to 1.58. I only got back 4 dollars in change. When I pressed the issue, they made me wait until 4 o'clock the next day and then claimed it didn't show up. I believer they are stealing from the customers. Don't patronize this store. Go down the street to Super Soda. Much better. The place is dirty, crowded, and dark. Shame on all the shady dealings going on in there. COUNT YOUR CHANGE!!!!!!!
